janissima > The Mother and the Crone, alongside the rest the semester's work.
janissima > The Mother- this view does not show her lines the best, with a better angle you can see the shape of the Maiden in there. Part of the series The Light of the Maiden, Mother and Crone. We all have a light inside of us, that shines out for everyone to see. The Motherstill has the same light as the Maiden, even while the inside and the outside is changing so much!

janissima > This is my vessel piece. i like the colors and textures. The lighter color on the petals is again melted Minnehaha Falls sandstone sand.
janissima > Test bowl 1. I love the dark brown on these, and I think I know the glaze colors now. They are about 3 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. They have a nice feel in the hand from the weighted bottom. They are coil constructed.

janissima > Test bowls 3 and 4. The left one is made with a rod inserted into a coil and rolled, then mushed. There are three layers of glaze inside. I love the depth of the colors. The lighter blue is from Minnehaha Falls sand, which melts into a nice texture. It is about five inches tall and maybe 3 wide. Just a test, not usuable for drinking as it was made to test rough textures. The right is a pinch constructed tea bowl. I might reglaze the inside to see what textures I can get it to do.
